Please note that a conference registration (as an ACM/SIGMOBILE member or as a Non Member) is required for each paper accepted to the research track, the poster track, and the demo track.
Visa Information
Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA)
ETA-eligible passport holders can apply for a visa Subclass 601 Electronic Travel Authority using the Australian ETA app, following the step-by-step guide at here.
Australia has strict border measures in place to protect the health of the community. The following passports are ETA eligible however you may not be able to apply for an ETA at this time. Please check the eligibility at here.

Note: At this time, ETA lodgement is only available through the Australian ETA app. If you are unable to use the app, you can apply online through ImmiAccount for another visa that suits your needs. European passport holders may be eligible for an eVisitor (subclass 651).
Visa Letters
Option 1
MobiCom 2022 committee is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee.
For visa support letters, refer all requests to qhe@swin.edu.au. The information below should be included with the request:
- Your name as it appears on your passport
- Your current postal mailing address
- The name of the conference you are registering for, e.g., MobiCom 2022. Only accepted authors may request a visa support letter
- If you have any papers accepted for the conference including main conference, workshop, poster demo, and competition, please provide an acceptance email
- Authors may indicate their paper titles. If no paper, speakers can provide the title of their presentation
Option 2
ACM is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee.
For visa support letters, refer all requests to supportletters@acm.org. Please allow up to 10 business days to receive a letter. All requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request:
- Your name as it appears on your passport
- Your current postal mailing address
- The name of the conference you are registering for, e.g., MobiCom 2022. Only accepted authors may request a visa support letter prior to registering for the conference
- Your registration confirmation number
- If you have any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title and indicate whether you are the “sole author” or a “co-author”
- Authors may indicate their paper titles. If no paper, speakers can provide the title of their presentation
ACM does not provide letters for transport of vendor or presenter equipment. ACM suggests shipping the materials insured to the conference facility.
Traveling to Australia
Masks are mandatory on inbound international flights. You must also meet the mask requirements of the airline or cruise vessel you travel with. For more travel information, please check International travel to Australia.
