MobiHoc 2001 Travel Support for Students

We are happy to announce that the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is expected to provide financial support for MobiHoc. NSF funds will include support to reimburse some travel expenses (e.g., registration, hotel, airfare) of a few STUDENTS attending the MobiHoc symposium.

For consideration for this travel support, please immediately submit the following information to Dr. Stefano Basagni (basagni@utdallas.edu) in plain-text:

  • Your name.
  • Your institution and degree sought.
  • A brief description (up to 10 lines) of your research interests and how MobiHoc relates to your work.
  • A brief justification of your request for travel support.
We anticipate being able to provide support to approximately 15 students, with each student being provided up to $400 (approximately) to cover symposium-related expenses.

Please e-mail the above information by September 23, 2001 to ensure consideration for the travel support. Requests received after this cannot be guaranteed consideration. Notifications will be sent starting September 24.

Note that reimbursement of travel expenses using the NSF funds may require that original receipts be provided to conference treasurer, before reimbursement can be made.
