 Visa Information 


All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad. All Individual visa seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Visa through Online application link , in order to make an application for getting the Indian visa. The duly signed physical copy of the application form completed in all respect and submitted successfully, is to be submitted at the concerned Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) or directly to Indian Mission/ Post, on the scheduled date of interview along with the requisite supporting documents. The applicants are also requested to visit website of the Indian Mission concerned for detailed information about Indian visa.

All delegates participating in ACM MobiCom 2018 must apply for either:

  1. A Tourist VISA if the primary objective is to visit India as a tourist
  2. A Conference VISA, if the primary objective is only to attend ACM MobiCom 2018.

Please DO NOT apply for a Business VISA.

If you are applying for a Conference VISA, you will need four documents from us:

  1. An invitation letter
  2. Clearance from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt of India
  3. Clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India
  4. Clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India

Visa Letter

Over the past several years the obtaining of a visa has become more complex requiring more attention, energy and time. Additionally, embassies have different requirements. Some may request:

  • A letter from the conference verifying intentions of conference participant.
  • Confirmation that the paper was accepted.
  • A receipt that conference fees have been paid in full.
  • Appearance or interview by conference participant.

As a result of these requirements by some embassies, MobiCom encourages attendees to apply no later than 3 (three) months prior the conference. Letters of "Invitation" will be issued to:

  • Keynote speakers, presenters, panelists
  • Any organizing committee member
  • People professionally or personally known by a committee member
  • Conference participant who has paid their registration fee

To request a visa letter, forward your requests to Mrs. Chandrika Sridhar, Registration Chair, MobiCom 2018 at with the following information

  • Conference/workshop title, date and location
  • The amount of fees paid by the requestor
  • Your intention as either a participant, presenter, committee member, speaker, panelist, etc.
  • Full name, as in your passport
  • Father/spouse's name
  • Date of birth in YYYY-MM-DD format
  • Place of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Date of issue of passport, in YYYY-MM-DD format
  • Place of issue of passport
  • Date of expiry of passport, in YYYY-MM-DD format
  • Full address, as in passport
  • Phone number, including country code
