Cologne is very popular especially in August due to the World Youth Day 2005 taking place there. Because Pope Benedikt XVI organizes this event, he will be in town just the week before MobiCom. Thus, we ask you to make your reservations as early as possible.

InterContinental Hotel Cologne is a 5-star luxury hotel situated in the heart of the city, only a few minutes' walk from the historical city centre, the world-famous Cologne Cathedral and the traditional event hall, Gürzenich. The main train station, the pedestrian zones, the Philharmonic Hall, and the city's numerous museums, theatres, and nightclubs can be reached easily on foot.
The taxi ride to the trade fair ground takes only five to ten minutes and the airport can be reached in 20 minutes. Due to the central location of the InterContinental Cologne, all major motorways around Cologne can be easily accessed.
For international travellers, Cologne is easily accessible by plane. The major German hub, Frankfurt International Airport is served by all major airlines and the train station Frankfurt Flughafen is co-located with the airport. Thus, you can easily go from the train station of Frankfurt Int'l airport, Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf to one of Cologne's main train stations, Köln Hbf or Köln Deutz, by the fast train ICE and take a short taxi ride to the InterContinental Hotel. The train ride takes about one hour and costs about 50€.
Cologne/Bonn Airport is served by many cheap airlines as Ryanair, easyjet, and Germanwings. Thus, from numerous European cities, you may fly to Cologne/Bonn Airport for just 29€, if you make up your travel plans early. A taxi ride from Cologne/Bonn Airport to the InterContinental Hotel costs about 25€.
