The ACM Special Interest Group on Mobility of Systems, Users, Data, and Computing
ACM SIGMOBILE is the international professional organization for scientists, engineers, executives, educators, and students dedicated to all things mobile. Some of the activities of SIGMOBILE and its members include:
Performing research in the theory and practice of all areas related to the mobility of systems, users, data, and computing;
Expanding the evolution of portable computers and wireless networks;
Supporting the convergence of mobility, computing, and information organization; and
Developing improved access, services, management, and applications for mobile computing and communications.

NSF Visioning Workshop on Extreme Wireless Networking 
The workshop was held in Oct. 2017. The final report has been made available
2017 SIGMOBILE RockStar Award 
Prof. Shyam Gollakota of University of Washington has been named the winner of the 2017 SIGMOBILE RockStar Award "for contributions to the use of wireless signals in the context of novel applications, including battery-free communications, health monitoring, and gesture recognition." The Award was presented at MobiCom 2017.
2016 SIGMOBILE RockStar Award
Dr. Karthik Sundaresan of NEC Labs has been named the winner of the 2016 SIGMOBILE RockStar Award "in recognition of significant contributions early in his career in the area of wireless connectivity, with an emphasis on novel technologies for wide-area wireless access and smart antenna networking." The Award was presented at MobiCom 2016.
SIGMOBILE Mobile Computing Research Community Fund
Proposals are solicited for awards that support research projects and activities that have wide benefit to the mobile computing research community.
